The Salmonella Dub SoundSystem featuring band originator Andrew aka Dj Rudeboy on the mix ft. Mighty Asterix & Whirimako Black LIVE with the amazing Sal Dub horn section bring the band’s new DOUBLE Digi album FOR ALL THINGS ALIVE in a space weaving 2hr dancefloor journey through Salmonella Dubs basslands.
Prepare for an audio visual mashup of the bands full catalogue with nu album tracks from Soul Love Trippa – Return to Our Kowai & for All Things Alive + remixes and versions from The Nomad, Dj Mu – Fat Freddy’s Drop, Dub Fx, Dj Digital, Dreadzone, Adrian Sherwood and more at Parāoa Brewing Co. Whangaparoa with special guests Sunshine Soundsystem, Israel Starr & Riddim Cartel on Saturday January 25th from 7.00PM- 11.00PM.
The Salmonella Dub SoundSystem officially began 25 years ago – playing their new dub plates from Dreadzone and Mad Professor on a tour Salmonella Dub was managing for Pitch Black’s debut album playing new releases and remixes at dance party festivals with dubplate album launch tours in the stripped back dancefloor friendly version of the live band.
From humble beginnings promoting and playing after parties, the Salmonella Dub SoundSystem developed into a powerhouse live dance act across the NZ & Oz festival and club circuit. More recently, Te Reo Māori Soul Funk Diva Whirimako Black started writing with Andrew after she joined the band for their New Zealand Symphony Orchestra in 2008.
