2024 APA AWARDS – 30TH MAR!

The Scoop on the 2024 APA Awards

Ardent Performing Arts has become known for their wholesome theatre productions at Centrestage on the Hibiscus Coast.
Our inaugural APA Awards event is going down on Saturday, 30 March 2024 at the exciting venue Paraoa Brewing CO – Gastro pub and Events 719A Whangaparaoa Road, Stanmore Bay, Whangaparāoa

This year, all our performers and production teams will be celebrated at this Gala event on 30th March 2024.
You are invited to attend with VIP passes and tickets

Please make sure your guests book their tickets and that you secure your VIP passes as nominees.

This glamorous event might just be your personal favourite award show.

More than 60 nominees are in line for more than two dozen awards ranging from Best Performer to Best Show.

Theatre stays the same by changing. Every show is different, and every night brings something new.

This is true even at Centrestage in Orewa. Like any performing arts fan, we get excited about the long list of nominees. And we love to speculate about who will be chosen for their work over the 2020-2023 seasons.

About our presenter:

Andrew Norman has a great track record in the performing arts including stage and screen, ranging from American TV Series and your local guilty pleasure, Shortland St.

He took an interest in the performing arts from the age of 7 and is now a well known actor, dancer and singer who featured in stage musicals like:
Miss Saigon, Breaking up Is hard to do, Sweet Charity, Beauty and the Beast, Leader of the Pack, Evita, Putting it Together, Dirty Dancing, Rocky Horror Picture Show & Footloose.
Some highlights were acting in the plays Boys at the Beach, End of the Golden Weather, Camino Real and Tautai of Digital Winds.

Drew is really looking forward to presenting the APA Awards and he is excited to see the talent that is growing within the community; the same type of community that was the beginning of his very own creative journey.

What to Expect on the night:

The night kicks off at 6pm with a red carpet welcome and a complimentary drink, followed by lots of opportunities for photos before we get seated at shared tables.

During the evening, fans will be treated to live renditions from some of the best musicals in the industry by our performers:

Maddison Simich-Burr
Sarah Poppe
The 3Decibelles
Briar and many more

During the first half we will announce the winners in the Youth and Child categories and then have a short break in which you will be able to order some food.

Then it is time for our Fundraiser auction with some great surprises in store – come with an open mind (and pocket )

After this we will have some more live entertainment and then the awards for the winners for all the backstage, ensemble and adult categories.

Then it is party time with The Slow Water Band – sing dance and celebrate!

Book now!

Don’t delay. Pick up a pair or two before they sell out! Someone else is probably watching the calendar too.
