RUMPUS is a family band from Torbay that play classic rock hits and some originals. The band is fronted by Daniel (15, lead vocals/guitar), his brother Matthew (14, guitar) and backed by a solid twin-sister rhythm section of Ashley (12, drums) and Hannah (12, bass).
Don’t let the ages of these guys fool you. The band punches well above their weight rivalling adult bands and delivers some of the most famous classic hits to an impressive level with lead guitar duties shared between the two brothers. The smooth vocal harmonies run throughout their songs are the icing on the cake. It’s no wonder they’ve gone viral online.
The members of RUMPUS have all played guitar for around 6-7 years, and about 3 years ago the sisters took on bass and drum duties when the band was formed. RUMPUS have been performing for nearly 3 years, entering Rockquest with original music every year since 2021 and have come away with some great results. They have played many times on big and small stages at festivals, venues, community events and private parties.
From the beginning they have been sharing their covers and songs on Youtube, Facebook and Instagram and have built up quite the international following. Some of their covers have gone viral with the band totalling over 20 million views on different platforms! With a load more songs written already this year RUMPUS are about to start releasing their original songs on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. Watch this space!
