Tazman AZ play all the classic hits from Kiwi and Aussie royalty from the last 30 years.
Kiwi and Aussie music has never been bigger. Just in the past few years there have been numerous TV documentaries about iconic kiwi bands and entertainers. Our Aussie cousins have also been busy making TV docos about their own music icons so there is a lot of interest in our shared musical heritage.
This is music everyone knows. Most of the songs are ingrained in our memory's, we know the words, so we sing along, we know the beat, so we dance and most importantly the music engages everyone not just those who are dancing.
Kiwis and Aussies, we love to give each other plenty of stick but in reality we are like family. We bond over a shared military history, similar ancestry, sport and of course music.
So much so that Aussies have been claiming Kiwi bands as their own for decades but that's no surprise when you consider that so many of the Kiwi bands and entertainers that crossed the TASMAN made a huge impact on the Aussie music scene.
TASMAN AZ, all seasoned musicians with a wealth of experience, have come together to bring this music, these bands and entertainers back to the life.
This is guaranteed to be a show that will have you up on your feet, singing along to those songs we all grew up listening to.
Leon Ruwhiu lead vocals, Mark Helliwell, Guitar, Mark Dunasemant, Bass Guitar, Chris Bowman, Keyboards, Peter Dixon, drums..

White Chapel Jak are a lovable Kiwi grassroots band that have been capturing crowds around Aotearoa - with their funk, pop, roots, soul style of music. Think in the genre zone of Six60 and LAB - then sprinkle a charismatic Maori front woman with a bold, soulful voice ... that's White Chapel Jak.
White Chapel Jak have opened for Ben Harper and Alanis Morissette, and entertained more than 15,000 people at the SeePort Festival in Auckland performing with the Auckland Symphony Orchestra two years in a row. Many of the shows sold out as their reputation and following grew.
As live performers White Chapel Jak steal the show! Their music is groovy and funky and cool. With a growing fan base they’ve earned a reputation over the past seven years for delivering great music, good times and good vibes. That's why they're selling out live shows around New Zealand!!!
Nailing ballads through to bangers that span decades of hits and have everyone dancing, the bands playlist is now peppered with their original music, to create high-energy shows.
Lead singer Bonnie Hurunui has a powerhouse voice and charisma that gets everyone up, supported by the talented drummer, Dean Tinning and guitarist Nathan Boston, with guest artists joining them at live shows.
“We love the energy and vibe of our people having a good time,” Hurunui says. “So that’s what our shows and music are all about – the best that life has to offer, good music, good people and good times.”
With their recent release of their debut single “Good Time”. It’s a catchy, roots style kiwi summer song that reminds you of cruising through sunny Aotearoa with good friends, whanau, aroha, beaches and great tunes. It’s everything that is White Chapel Jak. Good people, good music, good times.
